Sifu Michael B. Epstein is a Fourth Degree Black Sash instructor of the Northern Leg Southern Fist Southern Five Animal System of Kung Fu. Michael's teacher, Sifu Richard Vera was the last true disciple of Grand Master Ark Ye Wong. (Grand Master Ark Ye Wong, was the first to bring martial arts to the United States in 1921.) He began his studies in 1976 in Shaolin White Crane Kung Fu system with Sifu James Ibro, Yang style Tai Chi with Ralph Agajanian and Classical Five Animal system From Sifu Richard Vera. Sifu Richard Vera, Michael's "best" teacher, developed the Young Tiger Martial Arts Association.  Other early teachers were James McNeil, Taoist Priest Bill Helm, and Yang Zang Ming. Michael has also appeared on TV, heard on the radio and seen in videos, and has also had several articles published.
